At First Presbyterian we believe that we don’t exist simply for ourselves. As a missional congregation we want to share the gospel throughout the world; and while we can’t always go to the parts of the world where the need is great, we support a large number of missionaries who can. With that purpose in mind, we set aside 10% of our annual budget for missions. We truly believe that by supporting numerous ministries at home and abroad, we’re an active part of the furtherance of the gospel.
First Presbyterian is proud to support The Micah Project, located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The Micah House is home for 15 to 20 boys from the streets or high-risk families. The boys generally range in age from 11-20. They are all either part of the Micah home-schooling program or enrolled in a local high school and are involved in organized sports and other extra-curricular activities.
